Gone are the days when you trained purely to look good. Looking good is a by-product of a complete training program. Don't be that person who prioritises aesthetics at all costs at the expense of your joint health and mobility.

It's all well and good being strong , lifting heavy weights and running fast but if you pull your back out each time you sneeze, or play with your kids, is it really worth it?  

A combination of strength and mobility training gives you the best of both worlds. Why? Because you're strengthening your joints at the deepest level as well as your muscles. Our sedentary lifestyles are only a problem if you let it be!

Functional Training

Do you train in a way which prepares your body for life outside the gym?

Training in a functional way will help you to build a strong, resilient and capable body as you age. I often hear people say "wait until you get to my age". That's purely a consequence of not training smart and neglecting the foundations. It's the wrong mindset.

Your joint health, muscular strength, balance and stability are key areas for longevity. This is why I place a large emphasis on these components with my clients.

I myself have had movement restrictions and pain, and I know how debilitating it can feel. However, I was truly blown away by how quickly I improved my pain and range of movement through focused strength and mobility training.

I've helped hundreds of clients get out of pain and improve their strength, mobility and quality of life. The goal is to get you feeling and moving better than ever.

Hi, I'm James

A passionate runner but also a Level 3 PT, Pose Method Running Technique Coach, Mobility Specialist (FRC, FRA) and have a 1:1 (BSc).

My primary focus lies in improving running performance and preventing injuries through a holistic approach encompassing: Strength Training, Joint-Specific Training (Mobility) and Running Technique refinement.

1-to-1 Strength & Mobility Coaching

Your first session is where it all starts.We’ll begin with a consultation and a full movement assessment. This gives us a chance to talk through your running history, any previous training experience, and assess how your body moves.

We’ll identify any mobility or strength limitations that could be holding you back and from there, we’ll put a clear plan in place to support your running goals.

During the Movement Assessment, we’ll go over your training goals and outline a plan for strength and mobility work to complement your running. We’ll also touch on nutrition and recovery strategies to support your progress.

It’s a simple but important starting point and sets us up with the right structure moving forward. After the session, I’ll build a customised program around your goals, training preferences, and what will keep you consistent and motivated — whether that’s strength work, mobility sessions, or run-specific training.

Online Coaching

Just like the 1-to-1 coaching, I like to have a quick 30-minute chat with you over the phone so I can better understand what your fitness and wellness goals are.

The next step is an Online Movement Assessment. This is a series of joint specific tests that you will perform and record. We will then have a conversation about which areas you would like to prioritise on this movement journey.

Then with this information, we can go ahead and set you up on the True Coach app where I will create a personalised program for you.

Once the program has been made - let the games begin! You can record and send in videos for feedback on the exercises. We will then re-evaluate the program and tweak anything if necessary.

Running Technique Coaching
